NOVEMBER BRINGS FREE PARKING, THANKSGIVING SPECIALS & SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY TO HISTORIC PARK CITY

PARK CITY, UTAH (Oct 30, 2023) –The Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA) invites locals and visitors to get a jump on holiday shopping and celebrate the Thanksgiving season this November. Guests can take advantage of free parking in the China Bridge parking lot through Sunday, Nov. 19, to leisurely peruse and shop with a number of Main Street businesses, as well as admire the annual Snow Globe Stroll kicking off Wednesday, Nov. 22. Many restaurants will also be open Thanksgiving Day, with Small Business Saturday rounding out the month as the national holiday for supporting local.

“Our annual Snow Globe Stroll, Thanksgiving, and Small Business Saturday are just a few ways to gather and celebrate this November,” explains Ginger Wicks, Executive Director of the Historic Park City Alliance. “With more than 200 local businesses to support, there are plenty of opportunities for Park City locals and visitors to show their love in this season of gratitude and thanksgiving.”

Free Parking

Visitors to Historic Park City can enjoy free parking in the China Bridge parking lot now through Sunday, Nov. 19.

Young Frankenstein at The Egyptian Theatre

Friday, Nov. 3 – Sunday, Nov. 19

From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation, The Producers, comes this monster new musical comedy. The comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily funny film into a brilliant stage creation. Thursday – Saturday shows at 8 p.m., Sundays at 6 p.m.

Butcher’s Chop House & Bar Wine Spin Dinner

Saturday, Nov. 4 | 6 p.m.

Enjoy a fun, interactive, and energetic atmosphere in the Butcher’s Chop House private yurt, while indulging in a 5-course dinner paired with six fine wines. The event includes a live DJ featuring local DJ Marty Paws. Tickets are available on RESY.

Biz Town at The Egyptian Theatre

Friday, Nov. 10 – Sunday Nov. 12

Presented by the Egyptian YouTheatre and located in the Egyptian Studios. When Miss J assigns an "adult life" simulation project, her 5th grade class transforms into Biz Town, a modern city with a hospital, bookshop, zoo – and crime. One hard-boiled detective tries to uncover the criminals and ends up shaking the town to its very foundation, all in the name of a pizza party. Written by YouTheatre's Resident Playwright and starring an all-youth cast!

Park City Museum FREE Day

Saturday, Nov. 18 | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Illustrating Park City’s rich history from booming silver mining town to world-class skiing destination, the award-winning Park City Museum offers interactive exhibits, artifacts, and the city’s original basement jail. Admission is FREE on select days for friends and family to enjoy the museum. 

Snow Globe Stroll

Nov. 22 – Jan. 5

In its fourth year, the Snow Globe Stroll will feature seven life-size snow globes, each themed around different holiday songs including “Last Christmas,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Let It Snow!,” and “Happy Holiday.” Passersby can enjoy festive Historic Park City holiday decorations including Santa’s mailbox and Main Street Christmas tree.

Thanksgiving Dining Options, Thursday, Nov. 23

Annex Burger

Open 11:30 a.m. – 8 p.m., stop in for the Free Bird Buffet, a complimentary Thanksgiving feast with all the fixin’s, beginning at 2 p.m. until supplies last. The regular food menu will also be available.

Butcher’s Chop House

Open 2 – 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, a 2-course prix fixe menu will be offered, including turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, candied yams, cranberry sauce, and choice of pecan or pumpkin pie. Adults are $55, and kids are $38. The regular dinner menu will also be available. Call 435-640-0040 for dining room and alpenglobe reservations.

Open 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day

The Eating Establishment

Flanagan’s on Main

Enjoy a Thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. of sweet potato soup or green salad, turkey breast with house made mashers, brown gravy, stuffing, green beans, and cranberry sauce. Save room for homemade apple cake and vanilla ice cream. $50 for adults, $20 for children 12 and under. Call 435-649-8600 for reservations.

No Name Saloon

Park City Art & Music Gallery Stroll

Friday, Nov. 24 | 6 – 9 p.m.

Enjoy an evening of art, food, drinks, music, and great company while strolling along scenic Main Street in Park City. Participating galleries open their doors to the public for a fun, casual cultural experience. Look for Park City Gallery Association flags. Free event the last Friday of every month.

Colin Mochrie’s HYPROV: Improv under Hypnosis at The Egyptian Theatre

Friday, Nov. 24 – Sunday, Nov. 26

Starring Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It, Anyway?) and Asad Mecci (Hypnotist Extraordinaire). Volunteers from the audience under hypnosis perform Improv scenes with Master Improviser Colin Mochrie for a hilarious and memorable evening. Friday and Saturday shows at 8 p.m., Sundays at 6 p.m.

Small Business Saturday Saturday, Nov. 25
