In the beginning, Park City was a rough and tumble silver mining boom town. The mines came and went but a raucous bunch of folks stayed on to ski and carouse. From those rowdy beginnings sprang bodacious boutiques and artsy stuff. Seriously good restaurants and a string of spirited watering holes. Come to think of it, Historic Park City today is still a lot like it was back in the 1890’s – only now with cushier lodgings and much better coffee.

HISTORIC PARK CITY BUSINESSES WILL BE “SHOWN’ THE LOVE” FOR LOCALS

 

PARK CITY, UTAH (August 30, 2011) – Dozens of businesses in Historic Park City will be offering off-season deals for locals on Thursdays from September 8 – October 20. Coordinated by the Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA), businesses will be “Shown’ the Love” with special deals running every Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Numerous businesses, however, will extend their deals for an entire day. Additionally, Main Street parking will be free all day every Thursday between September 8 and October 20.

 

“Many locals, especially families, are looking for things to do once the summer activities are finished,” said Alison Butz, Executive Director at the HPCA. “While some businesses close down between the busy summer and winter seasons, there are many businesses in Historic Park City that stay open during the shoulder season and offer great deals for locals looking for something to do.”

 

Participating businesses that will be “Shown’ the Love” to locals include: 501 on Main, Blue Iguana, Buona Vita, Ciseros, Dolly’s Bookstore, Doolans, Eating Establishment, Expanding Heart, Flanagan’s on Main, Flying Sumo, It’s F’n Hot, J GO Gallery, Lindzee O’Michaels, Livin’ Life Park City, Love Your Pet Bakery, Mary Jane’s, Mountain Town Olive Oil, Ottowear, Park City Clothing Company, Park City Museum, Pine 323, Pine 442, Prospect and Prospect Youth, Red Ledges, Shabu, Sidecar, Sky Lodge, South West Expressions and The Bridge Café.
