Parking on Main Street
Parking on the west side of Main Street will be removed on Tuesday, January 19th and replaced with a drop and load zone for active deliveries. A Special Use Permit issued by Park City Parking Services allows extended parking times to accommodate large load ins/outs. Parking on both sides of Main Street will be replaced with drop and load zones beginning Thursday, January 21st. The parking will return on Sunday, January 31st. Park Avenue Parking Starting January 21st through January 30th, parking on Park Avenue (from Heber Avenue to 9th Street) will be replaced with a drop and load zone. The west side of Park Avenue from 9th to 15th Street will be a ‘No Parking Zone’ from January 21st through January 30th.
Main Street Employee & Business Parking Permit Holders
During the festival, those who possess Main Street Employee (Green Dot) or Main Street Business (Blue Square) permits may park for free on the roof of Old China Bridge (Level S4), in the North Marsac Lot, and the usual spots in the Gateway Center upper level lot accessed off of Heber Avenue. A permit guaranteeing a spot on in the China Bridge garage is available for $450 and is valid from January 21-30. This permit is available from Parking Services where you originally purchased your permit, or by calling 435-615-5301. Park City Streets Department completes winter maintenance for all public parking lots and streets between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 a.m. daily. Overnight parking is not permitted; cars left in public lots or on the streets are subject to tow at the owner’s expense. China Bridge A $25 fee to park will be required starting on Thursday, January 21st. The price will decrease to $10 on Tuesday, January 26th and free parking will return on Sunday, January 31st.
Swede Alley Surface Parking and Flagpole Parking Lot
Swede Alley Surface lot will not be available for public parking during the festival from January 9th - February 5th. The Flagpole lot will be closed from January 21st - 31st. There will be limited parking during built-out prior to the 21st. Galleria Lot There will be short term parking for the Sundance Box Office that is located in the Galleria Building. Sandridge Parking Lots The Sandridge Parking Lots, accessed off Marsac Avenue, are open for parking at no cost. Please keep in mind that these lots fill quickly in the mornings. Brew Pub Parking Lot The Brew Pub Parking lot will shut down on Thursday January 21st and remain closed through Saturday January 30th.
Traffic Circulation Changes
Heber Avenue will be a bus only thoroughfare beginning Thursday, January 21st Access will remain for the Poison Creek Building, Sky Lodge and parking beneath the Gateway Building. Vehicles traveling south (uphill) on Park Avenue will be directed to turn left onto either 9th Street or 7th Street to allow Heber Avenue to become a bus only street. Traffic traveling north and south on Main Street will be required to maintain their north or south direction at the intersection of Main Street and Heber and Main and 7th. No turns will be allowed onto Heber Avenue or 7th Street.
