In the beginning, Park City was a rough and tumble silver mining boom town. The mines came and went but a raucous bunch of folks stayed on to ski and carouse. From those rowdy beginnings sprang bodacious boutiques and artsy stuff. Seriously good restaurants and a string of spirited watering holes. Come to think of it, Historic Park City today is still a lot like it was back in the 1890’s – only now with cushier lodgings and much better coffee.

Open Mic Nights

While there is no guarantee as to the talent of the musicians, Open Mic Nights in Park City provide you with an opportunity to up and coming musicians; many of them local.  There are those few instances where the performers have been offered paid gigs from their bravery of performing before an unsuspecting audience.

Historic Park City has three weekly open mic nights.
Sunday @ The Spur Bar and Grill.  Monday nights are also their Locals’ Night offering $4 burgers and $4 wings.  To satisfy your thirst, order a shot of Park City’s own High West Whisky and your choice of local brew for $7 or $2.50 margaritas.

Monday @ The Sidecar.  Come, relax and enjoy a night with a collection of Park City's best singer songwriters.

Thursday @ Alpine Internet Café.  The evening begins at 7pm. Enjoy music and great coffee in this lively venue.
