The start of summer brings three new exhibits to the Kimball Art Center. All exhibits run through the end of July, to allow the Kimball to prepare for the Park City Kimball Arts Festival.

FUSE brings together seventeen Utah artists working in the ancient medium of encaustic. Presenting a range of subject matters and styles, artists combine hot beeswax and pigment to create deep, luminous and textural surfaces. Participating Artists: Willow Bader, Celine Boddy, Connie Borup, Marianne Cone, Alison Denyer, Marian Dunn, Carol Fulton, Bill Kranstover, Jan Massimino, Linda Mccausland, Bridgette Meinhold, Marjorie Mcclure, Patti Pitts, Justin Parisi-Smith, Mary Tull, Nancy Vorm, Gia Whitlock FUSE artists will be the featured at the Gallery Stroll on Friday, June 24 from 6-9 p.m.

In DiachronicScapes, Peter Walker explores the dynamic relationship between people and place. Through compressing discrete layers of mixed media, he uncovers the interaction of geography, culture and ideas over time. His work reflects how a place changes a people, and in turn, the people change the landscape.
Peter Walker will be the featured artist at the Gallery Stroll on Friday, May 27 from 6-9 p.m.
Encaustic with a Textile Sensibility

Artist Daniella Woolf opened the door to encaustic from her perspective as a textile sculptor. In her first exhibition as both a curator and artist, Woolf brings together 21 artists from across the country to showcase the exciting properties of encaustic and how magically it marries with other materials.
The Kimball Art Center is open 10 - 5 weekdays and 12 - 5 on weekends. Admission is free of charge.
