In the beginning, Park City was a rough and tumble silver mining boom town. The mines came and went but a raucous bunch of folks stayed on to ski and carouse. From those rowdy beginnings sprang bodacious boutiques and artsy stuff. Seriously good restaurants and a string of spirited watering holes. Come to think of it, Historic Park City today is still a lot like it was back in the 1890’s – only now with cushier lodgings and much better coffee.

Spring can be a tough time to find activities for the kids, especially with unpredictable weather.  Don't fret, we've got you covered on Saturday, May 14th.  Bring the family up to Historic Park City for Kids Day on Main Street.  Let the kids enjoy the activities from pizza making, cookie decorating to a theatre production. Sit back, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and know that you have an afternoon where the activities are taken care of.

Egyptian Theatre

The Boxcar Children. Youth Theatre, an education and performance program, presents The Boxcar Children, a play bout 4 young siblings orphaned and in danger of being split up. It is a touching tale of family togetherness and plucky youthful determination. The Boxcar Children is a play by Barbara Field adapted from the novels by Gertrude Chandler Warner. Seats $7 - $15.
Showtimes at 5:30 and 7:30.

Cookie Decorating.  Stations to learn tips and techniques on cookie decorating.  $1 per cookie

Free kids admission with an adult ticket.  The museum will also host kids activities from 11 to 2pm.

The Kimball Art Center is pleased to present the annual Wasatch Back Student Art Show featuring work by student artists in Summit and Wasatch County Schools, grades K - 12. The show will feature artwork from students that incorporates found, recycled and repurposed objects.
