Mega Genius Supply Store

The Mega-Genius Supply Store and IQ HQ, at 435 Swede Alley, offers free writing and tutoring to Summit County students, first through twelfth grade, Monday through Friday afternoons and follows the Park City School District calendar.  Students are treated to a healthy snack before commencing creative genius building.

The Mega-Genius Supply Store and IQ HQ opened during the winter of 2010 and has since seen more than 1,500 student visits.  It is modeled after author Dave Eggers’ highly successful 826 Valencia in San Francisco, that pairs a quirky retail portal up front with a literacy tutoring center in back.  Since the inception of 826 Valencia in 2002, there are now eight such programs in metropolitan areas throughout the country, operating under the 826 National banner.  At Eggers‘ invitation The Mega-Genius Supply Store and IQ HQ is on the brink of becoming part of the 826 National fold.
