In the beginning, Park City was a rough and tumble silver mining boom town. The mines came and went but a raucous bunch of folks stayed on to ski and carouse. From those rowdy beginnings sprang bodacious boutiques and artsy stuff. Seriously good restaurants and a string of spirited watering holes. Come to think of it, Historic Park City today is still a lot like it was back in the 1890’s – only now with cushier lodgings and much better coffee.

Oct. 2010: Local's Favorite - Cafe Terigo

There is just something about Café Terigo that makes it rise to the top of local’s lists when they are looking for a great place for lunch or dinner.  Café Terigo has one of the best outdoor seating areas on Main Street, but don’t overlook the ambiance inside.  It is just as good as the food.  You can’t go wrong with the choices on the lunch menu.  The locals’ favorites range from the roasted turkey on foccacia bread with provolone cheese, caramelized onions and lemon basil aioli is usually to the Fresh salmon and avocado on mixed greens with honey mustard dressing and baby onion rings.

And for dinner, well . . . . Anything you choose will be delectable.  Don’t forget to save room for the bread pudding.  It will rival the best you’ve ever had.

Make sure to call for reservations for dinner during the winter season or you will be waiting for a good hour or two.
