In the beginning, Park City was a rough and tumble silver mining boom town. The mines came and went but a raucous bunch of folks stayed on to ski and carouse. From those rowdy beginnings sprang bodacious boutiques and artsy stuff. Seriously good restaurants and a string of spirited watering holes. Come to think of it, Historic Park City today is still a lot like it was back in the 1890’s – only now with cushier lodgings and much better coffee.

Every month, our Park City galleries offer the community a tour of their artistic wares. Each gallery in the Park City Gallery Association opens their doors from 6 to 9 pm, on the last Friday of the month, and encourages visitors to experience fine art and refreshments on our mountain town Gallery Stroll.

The Park City Gallery Stroll is a year-round event and a favorite “thing to do” for our visitors and locals alike. You will find a Gallery Association brochure in any of the participating galleries. This brochure is your key to discovering art in Park City and it includes a map of all of the galleries, along with their descriptions, and the dates of each month’s Gallery Stroll.

On this night, the participating galleries feature eats and drinks for you to enjoy, and you’ll find many artists in attendance for their own show openings and receptions. In addition, watch for artists painting in the galleries, or even on Main Street.

Why not add some artistic inspiration to your life? There truly is a piece of art to suit every visitor, of all ages and from every demographic. Park City has become a fine art destination and many out-of-state guests routinely visit Main Street to find artwork for their homes both here and across the nation.

There are more than 20 galleries in Historic Park City, each with its own distinctive look and variety of artwork: from paintings in oil and acrylic to sculptures of bronze, clay, and found objects you will find an incredible array of art. Discover your own favorite on the Park City Gallery Stroll.
