The latest exhibit at the Park City Museum focuses on the Bracero Program. Bracero is a term used in Mexico for manual laborer. Betwen 1942 and 1964, an estimated two million Mexican men came to the United States on short-term labor contracts to help fill the labor shortages on farms and railroads caused by World War II.

On Saturday, December 18th, Gallery MAR presents their winter exhibition titled "Here and Abroad." The exhibition features new works by Geore Bodine and Kirk Tatom. The evening begins at 6pm and include delicious eats and illuminating chats with our artists. Exhibitions run for three weeks following the opening reception.

The Egyptian Theatre starts a new Holiday tradition with this production of "A Rented Christmas". A Rented Christmas is set in The Great Depression era and focuses on a lonely businessman, John Dale (played by Nate Sears), who has lost his parents and hasn't enjoyed a "real Christmas" for years.

Wireless and emission free: the Park City Council recently approved a demonstration project in conjunction with the Energy Dynamics Lab, a nonprofit research corporation owned by Utah State University, to make the Historic Main Street Trolley electric. However, being electric isn’t the coolest thing about the proposal, it's how it will charge.

Long before Park City became a world class mountain resort and venue for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, it was famous as a silver mining town and boasts a lively and colorful past. Park City was discovered in 1868 when soldiers stationed in Salt Lake City traversed the mountain from Big Cottonwood Canyon to find silver.
